The Rotary Club of Kīhei Wailea has received a $21,000 grant from the Rotary D5000 Foundation Maui Fires Relief Fund to support Maui Rescue Mission mobile units, according to an announcement.
The first unit has been deployed to different locations weekly, offering essential services to homeless Maui residents. Services include mobile laundry facilities, disabled accessible bathrooms with hot showers, clothing, snacks, personal care items, wound care supplies, WiFi and charging stations. The Maui Rescue Mission has been providing these services for the past five years at various locations across the island.
