📣Mondays in Kihei have moved! Today was our inaugural day at our new spot at Kalama Park! 🥳After gathering at St Theresa on Mondays since the days of covid lockdown, the time has come to relocate! Today at Kalama Park Scott and Shane and our volunteers welcomed our guests with supplies and aloha, and our great friends from Hale Kau Kau brought food for us to share. Many mahalos for helping to make this change a success! It is a lot of transition and we appreciate all the support we can get to make it as smooth and stress-free for everyone as possible.🙏🏽We pray that this new space will allow for expanding targeted care and resource connection for our guests! Please help us spread the word! We are so thankful to the folks at St Theresa Church for so graciously hosting us for so many outreaches. Mahalo for your support for our unhoused neighbors in Kihei. 🩷We continue to transition and fine tune our community gatherings to better meet the shifting needs of our growing houseless population. Mahalo for your grace, patience and understanding as we work out the glitches. We are committed to walking this road alongside our unhoused neighbors, and your care and support are essential to our success. We are better together! ... See MoreSee Less

Outreach today was a cook out! 🍗🪵🔥🍽️Mahalo ke Akua for our friend Kenton, who has been blessing our ministry and our community with the gift of his cooking since our days back at Lahaina Baptist Church 🩷Today at Kapu’ali/Cut Mountain we left the trailer rig behind and instead gathered in fellowship around a beautiful shared meal. Cooked on the spot with love by Kenton over kiawe wood a resident contributed! 💦We were also grateful to be able to distribute over 40 gallons of fresh water in this very parched part of the island. 🍂🌵Without the noise and activity of the showers and laundry, there is space to slow down, talk story and build more meaningful connections. We are excited to see how God will grow these moments in the year ahead into a stronger network of care for the people we serve 💪🏽🩷If you have resources available we can help connect our houseless ‘ohana to, please reach out, we would love to have you join us! Providing essential help and hope to the homeless of Maui

We at Maui Rescue Mission understand that each person’s situation is different. We also understand that without hope and basic human needs being met, life change is nearly impossible. Our approach is to provide basic needs like a private hot shower, personal hygiene items, clean clothes and connections to other resources with dignity, compassion and consistency. By building a trusting relationship with each of our guests we provide a support system that gives our guests hope and encouragement when they need it most.

Join us as a volunteer, donor or partner to bring hope and tangible help across the island of Maui.
